Hotel Bella Napoli

Checkin was interesting. We had to carry our bags up 2 flights of stairs while the man at reception just watched. But on checkout a female staff member hurried from upstairs to help us take our bags down. Breakfast was lovely. The rooms had paper thin walls and you could hear everything. Which was hard as other guests were loud till nearly midnight. Reception would of heard and did nothing. It was a smoking hotel so that was gross. It had 24 hour check in and out. Room was clean but very small. The shower was so tiny every time I lent over to grab something I hit my head on the shower wall I am only 5 foot. The view out our window was like a car dumping yard. Location was great, near buses, trains and shops. Lots of places to eat near by.

Great and friendly staff. Unfortunately, the rooms are very small and walls are paper thin so you can hear everyone in the hallway. No elevator means it's difficult to haul luggage up and down. The location is so-so, not the safest area in Napoli. Would have been better to stay in west side of the city. Breakfast was decent although some items ran out quickly and wouldn't be replaced.

DO NOT stay here or give this hotel your information. Within a week of booking a hotel room with Hotel Bella Napoli I had fraudulent activity on my card. They offer free cancellation but do require your card information. How do I know it was from them? It was the only thing I had booked for my upcoming trip. After reading other reviews I should have been more careful as this is a known issue and the location of this hotel is not suited for most people unless they want to feel very uncomfortable while traveling.

Firstly, the hotel is lovely. The rooms modern and well equipped with everything you need, the beds are comfortable and the staff can not do enough for you. Breakfast also really nice. The hotel is also really well located if you plan on visiting other areas of Naples as it is right next to the metro and main train station. However, the area is not for the faint hearted and certainly not ideal if you plan on staying local during your stay. The adjacent streets are full of immigrants sleeping rough and there is trash and dodgy dealings everywhere. It is also not an area to be wandering around after dark. When we first arrived we were shocked by what we saw, especially as within 1 hour of arrival 4 police cars rocked up and arrested a man right in front of the hotel. Immediately we contemplated leaving to find a new hotel in a different area, however thankfully when we mentioned our concerns to the hotel staff they reassured us that we wouldn’t have any problems, and showed us on a map some places to go and visit in better areas. For the 4 days of our visit we took the metro every morning to explore other areas and then returned in the evening to the hotel. We also discovered a nice restaurant right around the corner from the hotel called Gaetano Adamo where we ate every night so we didn’t have to wander too far. Overall in the end we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return to the hotel in the future

Hotel staff was nice, very lovely rooms with a balcony but quite far from the city centre to be fair. All in all it was good BUT BUT BUT it is located in a VERY dodgy area and I would definitely avoid this hotel. We were approached by a young girl who warned us about this area when we were waiting for the taxi due to it not being safe. I was travelling with my boyfriend but I did not feel safe at any time walking outside of the hotel!!

The hotel is amazing for its price! It is located right next to the central station so you can travel easily around Napoli or to other cities. The room is spacious and modern, there is daily housekeeping so you always enter into a clean room. The breakfast is tasteful and diverse, from croissants to sandwiches and fruit, there is truly something for everyone. The best part of the hotel is the lovely staff that made sure all our needs were satisfied. I highly recommend and wish to come back once again!!
